Southwold Kitchen, Pantry, Utility Room & Cloakroom
Sleek and stylish design crafted for modern living
Our clients welcomed us to design and create a collection of contemporary spaces for their newly renovated home.
The homeowners opted for our hand painted Southwold slab door cabinetry. The handleless gola rail design creates a sleek and modern door profile whilst a wall of tall push-to-open cabinetry conceals a wealth of smart storage solutions. A drinks station with pocket doors and entrance to large pantry are all hidden to achieve a functional minimalist look. Matt black AEG appliances and Novy Panorma hob with extractor blend seamlessly with the kitchen surfaces whilst the industrial style island with Dekton Trilium top and waterfall edges flows into the Dekton clad sink bowl.
The cloakroom and utility room compliment the kitchen with the same dark contemporary cabinetry but the look is softened by the introduction of warm Halifax Oak. Visible appliances, open basket storage and a hanging rail reflect the more utilitarian functions of the space whilst fitting with the modern design aesthetic.
When the kitchen cabinetry opens to reveal the pantry, there is a dramatic transition from one space to the other where the monochromatic colour palette shifts to a lighter tone. Open shelving at base and wall height provides ample storage. The natural oak worktop which runs around the room, mirrors the surfaces in the utility and cloakroom, creating flow and continuity between the spaces whilst giving them their own identity.
